We Change Lives

I have been thinking a lot of about the part we all play in our Harvey Nash Group of businesses, not only in the wider world of work but also in the difference we make in people’s lives.

When we are in the middle of a busy day it can be so easy to lose sight of this, and yet we can only truly know the enormous value of what we do, when we take the time to look back.

So what is our impact?

Well, we have been instrumental in helping the careers of so many candidates through placements and coaching, and helping organisations transform through technology solutions. Think about the many candidates and contractors you have helped place in a great role that truly makes them happy and excited.  

Think about the technology solutions you have helped to make a reality, from that first idea you discussed with the client to actually making it happen. What difference did we make to that business, to their customers, to their employees?

Over the years we have delivered thousands of projects, provided tens of thousands of hours of consulting and coaching services, and helped develop the careers of hundreds of thousands of people. As an executive coach myself I have been privileged to have a front row seat in experiencing the difference it makes in people’s lives to achieve goals and dreams, to get the role that they have been striving for and then be successful in that role.  

I feel very lucky to be in an industry that really makes a difference, that our work counts and that every day we are helping others make their goals a reality. As we are preparing to have our second half kickoff meetings, this is a great time to remind ourselves of how each of us have achieved so much more that the financial targets, as important as they are, it is the many ways we have delivered great work every day that makes a difference to people’s lives.
